You Are Not the Betrayal
It's easy to let the betrayal become your whole identity - the wronged one, the one it happened to, the person whose life is now defined by his choices. That's completely understandable, and it isn't the whole of you. You are a full person, with a life, qualities, and a future that this betrayal does not get to define. This worksheet helps you reclaim that.
What happened to you is something you're moving through - not who you are: The betrayal is a chapter, not your name. Reclaiming the rest of yourself is the heart of healing.
How the betrayal has taken over
Tick what's true.
- [ ] It's all I think and talk about
- [ ] I've lost myself in it
- [ ] I define myself by it now
- [ ] I've forgotten who I was
- [ ] My whole world shrank to this
Who I am beyond this
List the qualities, roles, passions, and parts of you the betrayal doesn't erase.
Who I am, separate from what was done to me:

Reclaiming a piece of me
One thing that's MINE - nothing to do with him or the betrayal - that I'll reconnect with this week:
______________________________________________
You are so much more than the worst thing done to you: You existed before this, and you'll exist beyond it - whole, and yours. Reclaiming yourself, piece by piece, is how you walk out of the betrayal's shadow and back into your own life.
