The Feelings Underneath the Pain
Betrayal doesn't bring one clean feeling - it brings a tangle of them, often contradictory, all at once. Rage and love. Grief and relief. Fear and numbness. Trying to sort out which you're 'supposed' to feel only adds to the overwhelm. Naming them, just as they are, begins to untangle the knot - and naming is where healing starts.
You're allowed to feel all of it: Even the contradictory parts. Even the ones you judge yourself for. There's no wrong feeling here, and feeling many at once doesn't mean you're crazy - it means you're human and hurt.

Contradictions are allowed
You can love him and be enraged at him. Want to leave and want it to work. Feel relief and devastation in the same breath. Two things - or ten - can be true at once.
Two feelings I'm holding at the same time:

______________________________________________
Naming is the start: You don't have to resolve any of this today, or make the feelings make sense. Just naming them, honestly, loosens their grip and reminds you that all of it is valid information about a real wound.
